The first task in our photoshop lessons was to create a mood board for a theatre production using the skills we had just learnt, I did 'The Sound of Music'. We learnt about which images we should choose to use on photoshop, how to copy them into the app, and also how to move the images and control the layers. You should always use a high resolution image in photoshop, a good tip I learnt is, when you are googling images you can filter the images so you are only shown large files.
Character Board
For the next task we were asked to create a character board using the skills we acquired last time plus new ones. We learnt in this session how to cut away the background of objects using the crop, lasso or eraser tool. I find photoshop in general very confusing as there are so many buttons to press to do one simple task. With this specific lesson I struggled with understanding what masking the photo achieves, to try and understand the whole programme better I will re watch the help videos and attempt some more practise pieces.
